Roadkill Carpet
Home, Novelty, Products — By The Critic on May 24, 2010 12:06 pmIf you’re like me, the first thing you want to see in your living room when you wake up and walk downstairs in the morning is roadkill. Thank heavens then, for Dutch Design, a company that has created a thing called “the RoadKill carpet.” Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like it. A regular looking carpet, save for one corner, the one covered in roadkill.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I personally find it comforting to sit on a carpet with a dead raccoon or possum. But, let’s face it, that’s not always possible. Enter the Roadkill carpet, which is the next best thing.
But perhaps you and I aren’t on the same page. Perhaps you actually find roadkill repulsive. Well, if you despise roadkill because of its awful stench, then this carpet may in fact be the perfect item for you. Why? Because you can enjoy all the wonders of roadkill without the baggage that’s usually associated with it. I view this roadkill carpet as the best of both worlds. It’s sort of like experiencing a caffeine high without having to eventually deal with the crash. The way I see it, if you can have roadkill in your home without needing an air purifier to keep the smell at bay, then you should.
So, what’s the price tag on this baby? This gorgeous 170 x 240 cm carpet can be yours for a mere 3,400 euros. Yes, that’s right, the price tag is listed in euros. If we convert that to dollars, we see that it’s equal to $4,216.79. So, if you’re ready to drop about $4,200 on a 100% wool carpet with a dead fox on it, then by all means, order up. As you can probably tell, I already ordered my carpet.
Will you?
